I had an excellent experience working with Sanjay at Gemini Solar Design on the engineering and design of my solar project.
My system was more complex than a typical residential solar installation, consisting of 180 ground-mounted solar panels using Enphase microinverters. I needed a complete set of professionally engineered drawings that would meet the requirements of my local power company, Ameren, as well as my local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).
Sanjay did an outstanding job designing the system and providing drawings that were detailed and accurate, while still being clear enough for me to use throughout the actual construction. I was able to read and interpret his plans to build the system, run the wiring, order the required equipment, and complete the installation.
There were a few times when I had questions or needed clarification on the drawings. Sanjay was always very responsive and typically answered my questions the same day. I especially appreciated his willingness and eagerness to help rather than simply providing the drawings and considering the job finished.
Another thing that impressed me was the accuracy of the equipment specifications. With a system this large, many of the components are expensive, and ordering incorrect equipment could have resulted in costly returns and significant delays. I ordered the equipment Sanjay specified, and everything worked as intended. I had no issues or returns involving the major equipment he called out in the design.
Most importantly, my local AHJ approved the engineered drawings, which allowed my project to continue without setbacks to my construction timeline.
From the engineering and equipment specifications to his responsiveness throughout the installation, I was extremely pleased with Sanjay. I would confidently recommend them to anyone needing professional solar engineering and design services, especially for a large or complex solar project.

Google ReviewSanjay provided lots of interesting and detailed information on his website, which most consultants either can't or won't do. The quality of these examples lead me to solicit his help with my DIY system. We came up with a solution of 64 panels in 4 arrays.
I am an engineer, which is the worst type of customer for a consulting group. Sanjay impressed me by taking my initial "design" and optimizing it to eliminate items that I didn't need. That simplification alone more than paid the engineering costs that Gemini Solar Design charged me.
Then, when my county permitting organization changed the design, Sanjay was willing to work with me to help incorporate those changes without charging excessive amounts.
My bills in Las Vegas went from over $5000 per year to $250 dollars, even after we purchased 2 new electric vehicles.
If you want to do it yourself, make sure the foundation you build on is solid. That's what this vendor provides.

Google ReviewSanjay was very responsive when working with me on designing DIY installed system using Enphase hardware and REC solar panels. I was installing my solar arrays in phases due to costs. All plans were accepted at the permit office and by the utility without any issues and it only took about a week to get the final plans including the Engineering stamps needed. The plans were easy to follow and allowed my electrician to understand the connections they needed to do and the wire size needed for each section.
My system has been running perfectly since 2022 and I have the confidence that it was designed and installed correctly for my location. I would highly recommend Gemini Solar Design to anyone looking for professionally made plans with engineer stamps.

Google ReviewSanjay designed a 33-panel (~ 12 kW) system that we installed ourselves on our roof. He did an awesome job throughout the process. He provided great advice on various design decisions and his plan set was accepted without issue by the planning department of our local municipality. Additionally, he helped with the interconnect agreement with our energy company (PG&E) so that process was also a breeze.
Worth mentioning - he's a very good egg and easy going and (seemed) happy to spend time on the phone answering what I'm sure were some pretty basic questions. I can't recommend him highly enough!

Sanjay’s work was first rate, prompt and was all done for the quoted price. I did the work myself by following his plans and it went very well. His drawings were approved without any problems by my local authority and my site inspection was approved on the first visit. The system has been working well now for over two years.
